Welcome to the Chair of Econometrics and Statistics

On this website, we provide detailed information about our research, our teaching, and our team along with the latest news announcements.

The research interests of the team focus in the area of financial econometrics, discrete-valued time series, computational statistics, health econometrics and spatial econometrics.

We offer a variety of courses in statistics and econometrics at the bachelor, the master, and the PhD level. At all levels of teaching emphasis will be on developing a solid understanding of the underlying statistical and econometric principles of the methods taught, as well as on their empirical application.

Winter Term Announcement

The chair will offer two seminars this winter semester:

  • Financial Econometrics (5211-621) - for Master's in Economics students
  • Data Analytics (5211-631) - for Master's in International Business and Economics (IBE) students

In addition, we will run the module Applied Data Science Lab (5000-671)
